Where should I start?
Welcome, happy to have you. We suggest you Start Here.
What the difference between the ebook and printed cookbook?
One is digital, so you have the option to print at home. The other is an actual soft-covered printed book. The content is 100% the same. It’s loaded with more than 80 farm centric, gluten, grain and soy free recipes. You’re sure to find more than a few to fall in love with. If budget allows, go for the actual book – we think it’s quite pretty.
What is your Shipping Policy?
Free shipping is included with the purchase of a Cookbook. Orders are shipping via USPS. Allow for 7 to 10 business days. You can purchase expedited shipping at checkout for either USPS Priority Mail 2-Day or USPS Priority Mail Express. Please note, these services are not guaranteed by the USPS, so please allow an addition day or so given the holiday season.
Where do you buy your ingredients?
Luckily, we’re wedged between Sullivan County, NY and Wayne County, PA, the home to many farms and farmers’ markets. Our go-to year-round market is the Callicoon Farmers’ Market. In addition to working with many local farms directly, we also purchase from regional farms and food producers through Lackawaxen Farm Co. of Honesdale, PA and Regional Access of Ithaca, NY. Check out our Ingredient Essentials and Lifestyle Resources for additional online purchasing info.
Where do you buy your kitchen equipment?
Mostly, through Amazon. They have the best prices. And, if you’re a Prime member, mostly everything ships for free. For your convenience, check out, Gear & Gadgets – a guide (with shopping links) to everything we use in our kitchen. Please note, when you shop through these links we receive a small commission (at no cost to you). So we thank you for utilizing this resource while supporting our efforts.
What’s your most used kitchen appliance?
The food processor, followed by the Vita-Mix. Both are super useful but the food processor is a must. It makes cooking and baking easier in all sorts of ways and many recipes here and on other sites require a food processor to be used. So save-up or buy right now.
What diet does your family follow?
Organic, local, seasonal, pastured; gluten, grain and soy free; paleo, most of the time – we do paleo cheat with sweeteners like maple, honey, coconut sugar and medjool dates and occasionally eat rice pasta, basmati rice and tortilla chips (a must when eating homemade lacto-fermented salsa).
Why did you choose a clean, farm fresh lifestyle?
After a lifetime of conventional eating and being plagued with health issues, we knew it was time to make a drastic change. Read Our Journey for all the details.
