Since following a grain free diet, we seem to consume a lot of nuts. Especially, since my baking flour of choice is almond. So, I created this healthy homemade nut-free trail mix to ease up on the nut intake.
Super easy to make and a nice treat to keep on hand. Instead of reaching for a more indulgent treat, grab this not-overly sweet trail mix for some relief.
This recipe is completely adaptable, feel free to use what you have on hand. It’s a perfect snack for road trippin’ or to send with kids in their school lunch.
A couple of years ago, we dehydrated lots of blueberries and strawberries – since we still had a jar, we threw them in, adding just the right locally sourced organic farm fresh flavor.
Happy snacking!
